PHDR has successfully applied for and received funding from Moreton Bay Regional Council for two Grants.
- “Drivers Stand Design The project aims to develop designs for a new drivers stand, for $3,625
- “Track Perimeter Fence Upgrade The project aims to install a support rail to existing fencing for $4,495.
Our thanks go to the Council and importantly Cr Battersby (the local Councillor) for their advice and help in getting these Grants.
Drivers Stand Design Grant
This is the first visible step for members as the Committee works towards getting a new Drivers Stand. The expected stand will not be cheap. This Grant is needed to just get the design and Building Certification complete. PHDR will have to fund 50% of the work so we need members and visitors to continue to support the club. When the design is completed, we’ll seek funding for the actual construction
Track Perimeter Fence Upgrade
This is working-bee material! The aim is to put a top-rail on the perimeter fence for better safety and security. Some small sections of severely damaged fencing will be mended. Looking forward to a great turn-out for the working-bee – so keep an eye out for news of it.
This is the first change since Feb – thanks Mark W for seeing it through.
Still has a couple of “rough edges” to tweak, and the irrigation (watering) system is due “real soon”.
In the new year we’ll do the “summer clean-up” and throw in a couple more jumps – but this will give racers some new challenges – “steering 101″.
