ball diff help

hey i have a xxx-t cr and the diff gear keeps melting is there a way to stop this. by the way im running maba max 5700 on nimh

Sounds as if you have too much slip
Suggest to rebuild the diff (if anything looks sus, replace it), use a good quality lube then tighten it. A correctly adjusted diff should only slip for about 1-2 meters max before taking-up.

cheers i think i have to replase the gear the shims things and the thrust being

a ball diff should never be allowed to slip. i think you meant the slipper clutch.

follow the manual for tightening the diff. if you don't know the diference between the sound of a slipper clutch or a diff that's too loose then loosen your slipper clutch right off and go for a quick run.

your problem will most probably be due to the diff being too loose, your slipper too tight or both of these.
